![]() I had the same problem, if you purchased and played The Outer Worlds on EGS, you can try what I did:ġ) Use regedit to delete all "Indiana"(Only correct ones, I also had a few from python) entries(I had only one with the name of the game and EGS in it)Ĥ) Close everything except steam when launching(Google chrome ate 5% of my CPU and after closing it during game's launch I had my cpu at 95%-100%, I have no idea why it demands so much CPU during first launch)ĥ) Don't Alt+Tab ever before it loads main menuĦ) Try a few times, it failed to load 2 times for me before I had that stupid main menu ship and it stopped working, I had to close it again and then it finally loaded in after a few minutes of that ship on my screen NMS and Cyberpunk 2077 are perfect examples.Originally posted by jonatan:Game crashes after showing instaLOD logo like for some other users, any tip what to do? Even if they manage to fix the worst stuff later down the line it still had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launch and we should just seriously stop forgetting about these kinda launches. ![]() ![]() None of this excuses the horrible, horrible state of the game though. In the last couple of days since the first patch, there are already more positive reviews being posted than negative. As the patches continue, and hardware improves, players will see the quality going forward. This is meant to be a definitive edition that will continue to be relevant in the coming years. Distance rendering is much more detailed. From weather phenomenon like dust devils on Monarch, to clouds swirling on the gas giants, to asteroids in the sky spinning. There's much more environmental detail than before.
